Humber Cardiology Registered Practical Nurse

Join the forward-thinking team at Humber River Health as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse in our Cardiology Unit. Contribute to meaningful patient care in one of North America’s first fully digital hospitals. This role involves caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including telemetry monitoring and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be adaptable to work various shifts while utilizing advanced technology to improve patient experiences. As part of a supportive environment, you will play a vital role in patient recovery and ongoing healthcare strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage care for both acute and stable cardiac patients
- Conduct telemetry monitoring and coordinate care effectively
- Document patient care using computerized systems
- Engage in hospital committees and unit projects
- Oversee mentorship of nursing students and new employees
- Completion of a recognized RPN program
- Valid RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS certification
- Prior experience in acute care settings
- Strong organizational capabilities and commitment to excellence
