Manager Estimation/Pricing

Job Title: Manager Estimation/Pricing Reports to the Operations Team Lead and leads a team for developing estimates for projects across Canada for the Integrated Facilities support team, working with trade leads to price reactive, project, and Capex replacement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a diverse group of pricing agents to effectively price work in various markets.

Collaborate with Operations and partners to support pricing strategy.

Perform post‑bid and job cost analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Support presentations and proposal development as needed.

Review drawings, specifications, and attend pre‑bid meetings to define scope.

Price out Mechanical/Plumbing Small Works quotes.

Develop and validate cost estimates, including risks, contingencies, and indirect costs.

Contribute to improving estimating tools, models, and processes.

Qualifications

Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated through progressive career responsibility and risk management.

Technical training in construction or an equivalent combination of technical training and estimating experience.

Relevant post‑secondary education preferred.

Strong Office Suite skills, especially spreadsheets and word processing.

Previous work experience in a small works or institutional environment.

Ability to read and interpret building specifications and blueprints.

Mathematical and analytical skills.

Ability to use cost‑estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids.

Strong organizational, time‑management, and decision‑making skills.

Self‑motivated, with strong interpersonal skills, and ability to assume responsibility and lead communication.

Ability to manage fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.
