Assistant Manager and Event Sales

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences and organising events? We're seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager and Event Sales to join our team at Fabbrica Thornbury and The Port Tavern. You'll assist the General Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high service standards, and upholding health and safety regulations.

Restaurant Management:

• Assist the General manager to ensure smooth daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and maintaining high standards of service across both Fabbrica Thornbury and the Port Tavern.
• Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure compliance at all times.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Event Sales:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to attract corporate and private event bookings.
• Cultivate relationships with event planners, new corporate clients, and local businesses to drive event sales growth.
• Assisting in maintaining existing accounts with private clients as well as new and exciting venues
• Fulfill the duties and be on site to lead events.
• Work with both The Port Team and Fabbrica Thornbury team on custom event quotes, confirmations, order revisions, proposals, and contracts.
• Provide outstanding customer service with main activities, including answering incoming calls and emails for events.
• Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including menu selection, décor, staffing, rentals and logistics.
• Ensure seamless execution of events, exceeding client expectations and maximizing revenue potential.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of restaurant staff to deliver exceptional service and achieve operational goals.
• Collaborating with HR to provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to maintain high employee morale and productivity.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in restaurant management, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
• Demonstrated success in driving event sales and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and restaurant management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
