Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Dredge Boat Operator (Marine Equipment Operator) to join our Valued Clients team at project sites across Alberta. This is a full-time, project-based position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate marine equipment including boats, barges, and dredges
- Follow all company, client, and industry safety regulations and standards
- Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA)
- Report and assist in resolving hazards, incidents, and near-misses
- Support team operations and complete additional assigned duties
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating marine equipment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A3 or SDV-BS certification
- Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP)
- CSO or BSO certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in remote or industrial project environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Work Environment:
- Outdoor work in variable and sometimes harsh weather conditions
- Exposure to wet, noisy, and physically demanding environments
- Interaction with team members, clients, and subcontractors
