Patient Reimbursement Specialist
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients.
- Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physicians’ offices, and healthcare professionals to maximize reimbursement solutions.
- Coordinate documents, submissions, and all related paperwork to insurance companies and public/federal funding programs.
- Foster and build relationships with key clinics.
- Coordinate with pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of public, private, and federal funding mechanisms.
Qualifications
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Prior experience in a reimbursement role is a strong asset.
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer/client service experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications (Word, Excel).
- Professional, courteous, and efficient telephone manner.
- Proven ability to organize time, set priorities, and multi-task to meet competing deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- An out-of-box thinking approach.
- Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday, covering the hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.
Compensation
At BioScript, your base pay is part of a total compensation package and is determined within a local cost‑of‑labor benchmark range based on role, level, and geographic location.
