Senior Production Accountant

Job Responsibility:
Position Summary
RTR Media Inc. is looking for a Senior Production Accountant to assist with the day-to-day accounting activities of select US and Canadian non-scripted shows on a full-time, permanent basis. The position will report to the Production Controller.
Responsibilities
? Process accounts payable and ensure payments in a timely manner
? Prepare and process day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries and bank
reconciliations
? Prepare sales invoices, and manage all receivables to ensure timely collection
? Responsible for all production payroll activities including timely inputting of timesheets,
prompt payment, and entry in accounting software
? Reconciliation and data entry of high-volume company credit cards
? Monthly cost reporting and occasional tax credit analysis
? Maintain cash flow and inter-company loan balance spreadsheets
? Assist with month-end and statutory reporting
? Ensure accurate and appropriate accounting records are maintained to enable the statutory
obligations of the company are met
? Assist team with ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise
Desired Qualifications
? CPA designation is preferred
? Minimum three years full-cycle accounting experience preferably in a multiple entity
environment
? Experience with payroll service providers, US payroll experience is an asset
? Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Office, Google Suite
? TV/Film production accounting experience is an asset
? Experience with Canadian and US film tax credits and incentives is an asset
? High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
? Strong ability to learn new software and skills
