Become a cognitive health physician with Lifespan, focusing on the innovative integration of preventative strategies in neurological care. This position highlights collaborative practice in a patient-focused environment that enhances cognitive health and wellness. Lifespan is expanding its services and seeks a foreign-trained neurologist to conduct cognitive assessments and support patients facing neurodegenerative challenges. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of licensed clinicians to formulate effective care strategies and contribute to the clinic’s Brain Health Program, making a significant impact in patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cognitive assessments with tools like MoCA
- Assist in the detection and monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases
- Develop individualized care and preventative strategies
- Document and summarize findings for patient reports
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on patient cases
- MD or equivalent with neurology training from outside Canada
- 5-10 years of clinical experience in neurology
- Expertise in diagnosing dementia and related conditions
- Strong patient communication and empathy skills
- Knowledge of neurocognitive assessment tools and clinical software
