Staff Platform Developer

Job Responsibility:

As a Staff Platform Developer, you will take a hands-on role in shaping the technical vision and architectural direction of our platforms. You will be instrumental in shaping the infrastructure and toolsets that empower our developers, while also collaborating closely with team members to ensure effective delivery of solutions. We are looking for a deeply technical individual with expertise in cloud infrastructure who enjoys solving complex challenges, mentoring peers, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. What You Will Do:

• Act as a technical guide for the team, providing direction on architecture, infrastructure, and platform improvements while remaining hands-on with key projects.
• Work alongside the development and operations teams to implement and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions for our growing system portfolio.
• Drive improvements in developer productivity by refining the developer experience, including CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with Security Operations to ensure our platform adheres to best security practices, particularly in managing edge networks and internal systems.
• Contribute in the design and execution of the technology roadmap, focusing on scalability, security, and business alignment.
• Guide and assist the team to follow best practices in infrastructure provisioning, using technologies like Terraform and Kubernetes to automate and manage resources efficiently.
• Guide and assist the team to follow best practices in application deployments, using tools like Argo CD.
• Be a point of contact for technical troubleshooting, helping the team respond to incidents and maintain system reliability.

Who You Are:

• You are an advocate for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and have hands-on experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure.
• You have a deep understanding of distributed systems and full-stack software components, and you know how to design solutions that prioritize scalability and performance.
• You think economically, balancing performance and operational costs when making decisions about cloud infrastructure and services.
• You thrive in collaborative environments and believe in leading by example, helping your team make informed decisions that align with business needs.

Relevant Technologies and Skills:

• Infrastructure : Kubernetes, Azure, Terraform, GitOps, DNS, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, CDNs, Secrets Management, GitHub Actions, Argo CD
• Programming Languages : JavaScript/TypeScript, GoLang, Java

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Software Development or Operations.
• 3+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering or related role.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Senior-level experience with Kubernetes administration, GitOps deployment strategy and cloud architecture.
• Demonstrated expertise in Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and infrastructure security practices.
• Experience with high-quality distributed systems design and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong technical writing skills for creating clear and concise documentation.
