Allied Universal is seeking a Professional Security Guard in Winnipeg, MB.

Job Title: Security Guard 

Job Location: Winnipeg, MB

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $18.46 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Friday; 1500-2300 - Full Availability Required.  

Overview :

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Winnipeg, Manitoba . 

Requirement :

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Manitoba security guard license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be proficient using a computer
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must have a Valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver’s License (ability to operate a shuttle van)
• Ability to clearly communicate using a radio
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors for long hours in all weather conditions
• Strong computer proficiency and experience in monitoring CCTV cameras.
• Ability to respond to incidents and emergencies 
• Ability to clearly communicate using a radio
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site-specific training, follow direction and guidance from the Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record-keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment; completion of site required training
• Vehicle Gate and Console duties
