Personal Care Specialist - 12 month contract

Cencora seeks a Personal Care Specialist for a 12-month remote contract role in Ontario, Canada. The position supports pharmacy operations through prior authorization processing, insurance verification, patient documentation, and financial assistance coordination.
Responsibilities
- Process prior authorization requests by collecting documentation and submitting to payers
- Verify insurance coverage and document patient formulary information
- Support financial assistance enrollment and manufacturer copay applications
- Coordinate specialty pharmacy referrals and schedule patient interactions
- Track pending authorizations and follow up on status with payers
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years pharmacy support, prior authorization, or healthcare administrative experience
- HIPAA or applicable compliance training certification
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, life sciences, or pharmacy technology preferred
