JOB PURPOSE

The Social Worker Supervisor is responsible for supervising the provision of clinical social work services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Social Work. Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers. Must have progressive related work experience (1 year) in which leadership ability and competency as a Social Worker have been demonstrated.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Social Worker Supervisor is responsible for:

• Assigning, overseeing, reviewing and evaluating service delivery
• Planning, directing and evaluating therapy programs and services
• Providing staff orientation and coordinating staff development programs
• Serving as a clinical practice leader
• Developing and/or ensuring compliance with standards, policies and procedures
• Coordinating or participating in student placements
• Performing the work of a social worker
