Manager of AI Risk Oversight at Manulife

Drive AI governance strategies as Manager or Senior Manager of AI Model Risk Oversight at Manulife. Leverage your technical expertise to ensure successful risk management practices. In this role, you will influence the proper adoption of AI by providing key oversight on risk management activities. Manulife is looking for an experienced manager to assess and challenge AI methodologies for medium- to high-risk projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with emerging AI safety standards while working closely with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

Provide independent oversight and challenge of AI models
Evaluate methodologies and assess risk factors
Produce actionable insights for management reporting
Conduct risk-based reviews and thematic assessments
Enhance AI model governance and oversight practices

Requirements:

7+ years of relevant experience for Manager-level
Bachelor’s in Data Science, AI, or related fields
Familiarity with AI and machine learning in finance
Strong grasp of model risk management frameworks
Bilingualism in English and French is a plus
