The Income Tax T1 Preparer plays a critical role in assisting individuals with accurate and compliant tax return preparation. Working within a collaborative team environment, this role includes preparing personal income tax returns, supporting tax planning efforts, ensuring data accuracy, and providing audit support as needed. Looking for seasonal and year round employees.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate T1 personal income tax returns for individual clients
- Assist with tax planning to optimize client returns
- Enter and verify tax-related data with high accuracy
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment to meet deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in income tax preparation
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Tax Preparer (CTP) designation
- Proficiency with T1 Tax Software and DT Max Tax Software
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations
- Detail orientation with excellent accuracy
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Time management abilities for efficient workflow
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
