Job Overview

Patient Transport is hiring for a full-time entry level position as a Stretcher Attendant to fill an existing vacancy . No experience is necessary to join our growing company as we offer extensive training to prepare you to transfer patients.

Being a Stretcher Attendant is an active and rewarding career working as a team to help those in need of our services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Co-ordinating with your partner to provide excellent customer service to patients
• Transferring stable patients between medical facilities
• Taking patients home after a medical stay
• Liaising with medical professionals
• Documenting patient information and all relevant information related to the transport
• Engaging with patients throughout the transfer
• Monitoring patients and responding to their needs
• Communicating with Dispatch
• Following all Safety protocols and procedures

• Demonstrated kindness compassion and respect for others
• Positive attitude with a professional demeanor
• Self-motivated punctual and eager to learn
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to safely lift and transfer 250 lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair in a team setting
• Safe driving practices with a clean driving record

Certifications & Clearances (issued within the past 60 days)

• Child Abuse Registry Check
• Adult Abuse Registry Check
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Standard First Aid with CPR (BLS)

Licensing Requirements

• Valid Class 4F Drivers License
• Must currently hold a Class 5F license

Job Type: Full-time Permanent (36 hours per week)

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Work Location: Winnipeg Manitoba
