Unreal Engine Game Developer

Job Responsibility:

Join Infinite Loop Studios as we develop Liminal , a cutting-edge 2.5D story-driven platformer video game set to redefine player experiences through innovative gameplay. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Unreal Engine Developer to enhance our game's development, focusing on implementing fluid motion, combat, and advanced gameplay systems.

Role Overview: As an Unreal Engine Developer, you will play a crucial role in integrating and optimizing the Unreal Engine's performance. Working closely with animators and level designers, you will ensure that gameplay mechanics are executed flawlessly and contribute significantly to the technical backbone of our game. Due to the size of our team, you may also need to flex into roles that require rigging and animation from time to time.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with animators to ensure smooth integration and performance of animations within the Unreal engine.
• Work alongside level designers to implement and refine game levels, ensuring optimal interaction and functionality.
• Develop and enhance gameplay mechanics and systems, focusing on innovation and quality.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to Unreal engine performance.
• Contribute to all phases of the game development cycle, from design to deployment.
• Occasionally assist with rigging and animation tasks to support team needs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience using the Unreal Engine for video game development.
• Excellent programming skills with experience in languages suited for Unreal Engine development (such as C++, Blueprints).
• Strong understanding of Unreal Engine architecture and APIs.
• Demonstrable problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Flexibility to take on additional tasks such as rigging and animation as required.

Compensation Details: This role offers a revenue sharing model where you will be compensated with 1% of total project revenue up to $80,000 payable upon completion and shipment of the game. This approach ensures that your input has a direct impact on the game's success, and you are rewarded accordingly for your work.

Project Duration: The contract will span one year, demanding dedication and innovative contributions to meet project timelines and milestones.
