Senior Process Engineer for Heavy Oil Projects

Contribute to Stantec’s innovative projects as a Senior Process Engineer in Calgary, focused on heavy oil and SAGD methodologies. Utilize your expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment. In this role, you'll lead and execute complex engineering designs while providing mentorship to the next generation of engineers. Your experience with thermal processes, simulations, and safety analyses will be key in delivering effective solutions for our clients. Collaboration across disciplines will be crucial as you take part in critical reviews and client communications. Key Responsibilities:

• Direct engineering design activities and project evaluations
• Conduct process simulations and develop engineering documentation
• Review hydraulic analysis and sizing calculations
• Participate in client discussions and safety reviews
• Assist in project timelines and deliverable quality

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 15-20 years of applicable EPC experience
• APEGA registration as P. Eng. is mandatory
• Expertise in Aspen HYSYS and Excel
• Familiarity with API standards and design documentation
