Senior Mining Engineer at Graymont

Elevate your mining career as a Senior Mining Engineer with Graymont in Richmond, BC, offering a hybrid work model. Focus on optimizing mine planning across key sites in North America. This full-time, permanent position is critical for managing short, medium, and long-term mine planning for Graymont's open pit operations. You'll support multiple quarries in the USA and Canada, working closely with geology teams on mine designs, permitting, and operational efficiencies. Your expertise will significantly impact both productivity and cost-effectiveness across operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive mine plans
- Create and update pit designs meeting internal standards
- Submit and manage mine permit applications
- Generate reclamation plans for regional quarries
- Conduct reconciliation to verify reserves
- Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in mine planning
- Strong understanding of mining equipment and safety procedures
- Proficiency with mine planning software, preferably Surpac
- Willingness to travel up to 40% across North America
