Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Responsibility:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for overseeing the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations products and/or development processes.In this hands-on leadership roll, you would be responsible for:

· Managing the quality department and leading quality control activities throughout the organization.

· Establishing organizational goals and implementing continual improvement activities to meet those objectives.

· Leading efforts to modernize quality control throughout the organization.

· Ensuring successful new product launches through the use of APQP, PPAP and launch readiness activities.

· Ensuring month end measurables are maintained accurately and reviewed on time.

· Developing strong relations with our customers through proactive activities and site visits.

· Leading ISO / IATF certification activities.

· Leading continuous improvement activities and work with other departments to identify failure modes and develop controls to ensure product and service quality are constantly improving.

· Conducting quarterly Management Review meetings.

· Conduct continuous improvement activities with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, One Piece Flow, Standardized Work, Kanban and Practical Problem Solving.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Knowledge

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Management, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· 3+ years' quality management experience in a production processing environment - with Automotive background (preferably injection moulding).

· Strong understanding of ISO. Previous experience in leading ISO audits is an asset.

· Proven leadership abilities with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in quality systems, statistical measurements and methods.

· Experience in audit procedures for internal, customer and TS certification.

· An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of injection molding process.
