Job Responsibility:
Remote Part-Time Web Development Contractor
We are looking for an intermediate-advanced web development contractor for a regular part-time contract (appx 10 - 15 hours/week).
You'll be working primarily in WordPress, primarily with Divi and Elementor builders however experience outside of these builders is a plus.
Monochrome operates in a fully remote environment based in Calgary, so strong communication skills and abilities in delivering products according to a brief are required. You must be able to organize yourself and be comfortable juggling multiple projects at once. We communicate via Slack, Basecamp, and email.
You must be comfortable providing feedback, exploring better ways to do things, and providing insights into how we can improve our products and client experiences.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and modify Wordpress landing pages, websites, and blog posts based on provided design, copy, and assets.
- Ensure all landing pages, websites, and blog posts follow modern accessibility, SEO, and responsive standards.
- Manage time, balancing multiple tasks at once while hitting deadlines.
- Solve diverse technical problems.
- Analyze briefs and provide recommendations and scopes.
What We're Looking For:
- Intermediate - advanced knowledge of WordPress
- Experience with page builders, including Divi and Elementor
- Experience working with all modern web languages/markup, including but not limited to CSS, HTML, PHP, and javascript
- Ability to solve unexpected technical problems
- Intermediate knowledge of UX, SEO and web design best practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction & feedback is required
- Have the technology available to work in a completely remote environment (computer, video cam, and reliable internet)
- We're in Calgary but you don't have to be. Availability within MST standard office hours is required.
