Pediatric Nurse at CHEO, Ottawa

Make a difference in pediatric health as a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Surgery unit at CHEO, Ottawa. Deliver expert nursing care while implementing best practices in a supportive environment. At CHEO, you will be part of a transformative pediatric health system known for excellence and innovation. This permanent casual position allows for flexible self-scheduling, prioritizing family-centered care and wellness. Your role will involve assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing care to ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and plan individualized nursing care for patients
- Implement and evaluate nursing practices and patient education
- Maintain compliance with College of Nurses standards
- Provide culturally sensitive care to all patients and families
- Stay current and competent in nursing practices
- Current Certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- CPR Certification valid
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric surgery nursing experience
- Strong communication skills in English and French preferred
- Vulnerable Sector Check completion required
