About the Driver and Warehouse Associate:

Habitat for Humanity Niagara is seeking an energetic and responsible individual with a passion for customer service and team work to make a difference in our community as our Driver- Warehouse Associate, at the St. Catharines ReStore.

The Driver and Warehouse Associate is a collaborative team member and acts as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity Niagara. This position fully services donors by picking up donations throughout Niagara daily, that consists of merchandise suitable for resale in our ReStore. In addition, this role supports the warehouse lead with product flow through our warehouse facility. As the Driver and Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for:

• • Act as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity Niagara
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication when interacting with donors, customers, and staff
  • Clearly communicate with donors to coordinate pick ups and drop offs in a timely fashion
  • Assist in the movement of inventory in our warehouse facility
  • Assist with paperwork and product valuation
  • Complete all paperwork as required
  • Adhere to all applicable safety standards, internal policies/procedures and laws while operating the company truck
  • Report any incidents or accidents immediately

Qualifications:

• • Experienced driver (Will be operating a 24ft box truck)
  • Standard G license or trained in commercial vehicle operation in good standing
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Flexible work schedule including the ability to work alternate Saturday shifts
  • A clean driving record with a clean driving abstract
  • Experience preferred in customer service-related field or warehouse work
  • Self-starter, high energy, and strong independent work ethic
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task and is team-oriented
  • Experience working in a volunteer organization with volunteers and students
  • Ability to lift at least 40lbs. Ability to bend, twist, push, and pull throughout the day, for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Reliable and punctual
• • Forklift experience, training or license
  • Warehouse experience
  • Experience with tools and the ability to troubleshoot
