Cybersecurity Lead (Ottawa)

Overview We’ve opened a role in any of our offices for a talented, entrepreneurial Cybersecurity Lead to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s IT & Workspaces group.
Qualifications Computer science (or related) foundation and 10+ years of hands‑on leadership in cybersecurity or information security.
Ability to design and implement enterprise security strategies, policies, and frameworks that hold up in the real world.
Confidence in navigating security domains such as cloud, network, endpoint, identity & access management, and incident response.
Experience leading and influencing cross‑functional teams, communicating risk clearly to executives, and working within frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are a bonus.
Familiarity with the AEC industry is a plus.
Your Role as Cybersecurity Lead Set the strategy by developing and evolving JLR’s cybersecurity roadmap, framework, and policies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
Manage risk and compliance through risk assessments, gap analyses, audits, and oversight of standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2.
Lead security operations including threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and the investigation and remediation of security events.
Own the security toolset by managing and optimizing technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, and SOC capabilities (internal or managed).
Partner across IT and the business to embed security into infrastructure, applications, and delivery pipelines.
Build capability and trust by acting as JLR’s cybersecurity subject matter expert, mentoring team members, and managing vendors and external partners.
