Welder/Fitter

Pay: $28.00-$32.00/hour

IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting an Aluminum Welder / Fitter on behalf of our client, a well-established custom metal fabrication manufacturer in Woodstock, Ontario. Our client produces steel and aluminum components for a variety of industrial and heavy-duty applications within a quality-driven manufacturing environment.

This position involves hands-on welding and fitting work in a custom fabrication setting. The successful candidate will work with detailed drawings and specifications to fabricate, fit, and weld components while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Location: Woodstock, Ontario

Pay Rate: $28-$32/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Shift : Day Shift | 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Fit, layout, cut, shape, and weld steel and aluminum components
• Perform welding using MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Flux-Cored (FCAW) processes
• Weld components to required structural and quality standards
• Operate fabrication equipment such as CNC press brakes, shears, and plasma cutters when required
• Grind, finish, and inspect welds to meet specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet deadlines

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Controlled Goods Application
• Previous experience as a Welder/Fitter or in a custom fabrication environment
• Ability to read blueprints and work to close tolerances
• Experience welding steel and/or aluminum
• Welding certifications (CWB, AWS, IAS) are preferred
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
• Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy materials
