OpenShift Architect

Arobas Personnel is currently seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Architect for a strategic contract with one of its clients located in New Brunswick .

  • Remote : Hybrid*

What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like

In this role, you will play a key part in transforming the client’s platform environment, helping to build a robust, scalable, and production-ready solution.

The Client Is Looking To

  • Build, expand, and operationalize their Red Hat OpenShift environment
  • Transition to a stable, production-grade platform
  • Enable their internal DevOps team to scale application delivery

You will collaborate with a dedicated platform engineering team responsible for evolving the OpenShift environment while ensuring:

  • Stability
  • Scalability
  • Continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

Core Services

You Will Contribute To Critical Initiatives, Including

  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • GitOps enablement
  • CI/CD integration
  • Performance optimization
  • Major OpenShift platform upgrades
  • Architecture assessments and roadmap development

Ongoing Managed Services

You Will Also Support Day-to-day Operations Such As

  • Cluster management
  • Worker node operations
  • Monitoring and incident response
  • Patching and upgrades (standard lifecycle tasks)
  • Operational governance
  • Lifecycle management

Architect Role

As an Architect, you will take on a strategic leadership role:

  • Own the architecture, governance, and technology roadmap
  • Manage escalations
  • Align platform strategy with the client’s operational needs

Experience

Required Profile

  • 8–12+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering
  • 4–6+ years of experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift
  • Strong background in enterprise production environments

Preferred Certifications

  • Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) – with OpenShift focus
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • TOGAF
  • ITIL Foundations
  • Bilingual (English/French) – an asset (English-only candidates will be considered)
