Mechanical Engineer for Nuclear Projects

Elevate your engineering career with a leading role in nuclear power at SaskPower. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to design, compliance, and project management for Small Modular Reactors. This full-time permanent position involves developing technical specifications and designs for nuclear power plants. You'll support design oversight for the SMR project and manage contracts, ensuring they align with corporate objectives. Your skills in project planning, cost estimation, and risk management will be vital as you guide a diverse team through complex engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and develop methodologies for projects
- Oversee mechanical design aspects of the SMR project
- Manage external design services and oversight
- Evaluate quality and safety of project designs
- Prepare project plans, estimates, and schedules
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineering Designation - P. Eng.
- Experience in power generation facilities preferred
- Familiarity with mechanical design standards
- Proven project management skills
