AREAS WE SERVICE: Penetanguishene, Midland, Tiny, Tay, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Parry Sound, Muskoka, Orillia, Port Severn, Barrie, Uxbridge, Shanty Bay, etc.

POSITION NEEDED: Bedrock Finishes is seeking Drywallers to board and tape commercial structures, lakefront properties and other surfaces. Typically, drywallers work 40+ hours a week at minimum and weekend work is always available.

• Ability to handle physical, labour intensive workload
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Willing to travel if required
• Must have own vehicle to get to and from work sites

CANDIDATE SKILL SET: Manual dexterity with excellent balance needed for work on scaffolding and ladders. Candidates must be reliable, on time, possess great attention to details and take pride in their work. The ideal candidate has experience boarding and taping with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing safety measures. However, Bedrock is willing to train those who show a willingness to learn and are conscientious.

COMPENSATION: Starting pay begins at $20.00/hr with no experience, and goes as high as 35+/hour. Wage DOE. Training, materials required to complete jobs, and shirts are supplied.

Overview We are seeking a skilled Drywaller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation and finishing, with a strong understanding of construction practices. As a Drywaller, you will be responsible for creating smooth and even surfaces for painting or other finishes, ensuring high-quality workmanship in residential and commercial projects.

Duties

• Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings according to specifications and blueprints.
• Measure, cut, and shape drywall panels to fit around fixtures and corners.
• Apply tape, mud, and other finishing materials to seams and joints to create a seamless appearance.
• Sand surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
• Perform repairs on existing drywall as needed.
• Utilize caulking techniques to seal gaps and improve insulation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Drywaller or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading to accurately interpret project specifications.
• Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus.
• Skills in maintenance person tasks and carpentry are advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual labor tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
