Legal Advisor for SaaS Compliance and Contracts

Elevate SaaS compliance and contractual integrity as our Legal Advisor. Utilize your deep understanding of commercial contracts and legal frameworks to drive informed decisions.
Diving deep into this in-person role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing legal processes concerning commercial agreements and risk management. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external counsel to create a robust legal environment. Your ability to navigate legal complexities while supporting business growth is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and draft SaaS subscription agreements and NDAs
• Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigations
• Act as a legal partner to business functions for effective compliance
• Develop and standardize legal templates for efficiency
• Serve as Privacy Officer ensuring compliance with regulations
Requirements:
• 3+ years' experience in legal roles related to commerce
• Strong focus on detail and risk assessment
• Self-sufficient with good priority management
• Practical and clear legal communication
• Active membership or willingness to join the Law Society of Alberta
