Role Mandate:

The Associate Merchant supports the attainment of category objectives by undertaking a wide range of administrative and liaison activities on behalf of the Category Director. Accountabilities : Assortment and Promotional Execution

• Execute and complete new item set-up process
• Execute and complete item discontinuation process

• Utilize PACT assortment tool to make changes to live planograms
• Manage category APT tracking tool for Merch team
• Collaborate with Space Planning team to communicate or reinforce specific category goals and to ensure that the overall strategy for the category is reflected in planograms

Pricing and Inventory Management

• Execute cost and retail shelf price changes using latest tools including SPO
• Resolve scan log and error log issues
• Work with Supply Chain for distribution of replacement products
• Action code-dated items
• Approve Bulk Buys in the portal working with supply chain to communicate with operations as needed

O&A Management

• Input O&A as required
• Track O&As and follow up with vendors on auto and manual O&As
• Review vendor audits working with Merchant and CD to bill

Reporting and Analysis

• Run pre-existing reports
• Create adhoc reports and provide analysis upon request from CD and / or from cross-functional teams
• Review prior week's performance

Job Qualifications

• Review and action gross profit exception report

• Post secondary education or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to contribute to category plans in-line with corporate strategies
• Ability to gather and synthesize customer and market insights
• Good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Proficient with MS Office (specifically Excel)
• Previous retail experience is preferred
