Industrial Automation Project Engineer

Drive industrial automation projects in Cambridge through control-system design, commissioning, and capital project management. CGT offers this full-time engineering assignment.The Senior Controls Engineer examines plant processes and implements changes that improve efficiency and productivity. This position combines electrical and mechanical controls engineering with project management, component specification, and technical support. You will work with operations, maintenance, and engineering while guiding junior engineering members.Key Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee electrical or mechanical control systemsDesign new systems and modify existing controlsEstimate, purchase, install, and commission project equipmentControl project budgets and manage communicationsSpecify components and recommend upgradesRequirements:
Proven project management experience, including capital projectsTen years’ industrial manufacturing controls experienceProgramming experience with Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, and similar platformsExperience with vision systems, safeguarding, and safety projectsStrong theoretical, hands-on, communication, and presentation skillsBring automation design, capital project leadership, and practical troubleshooting skills to CGT’s Cambridge engineering and manufacturing operations.
