Position: ACCOUNTING AGENT

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Agent will join a growing team focused on supporting operations through monthly billing and accounting cycles. The candidate will be responsible to provide centralized day to day support, and complete tasks as assigned.  This could include:

• Completion of the full lifecycle of project-based invoicing, within monthly deadlines.
• Preparing and distributing draft invoices to Project Managers, reviewing and incorporating feedback to complete final invoices; submission of questions for clarification, and processing adjustments as required; issuing final invoices to clients; liaising on questions received; processing invoice revisions.
• Developing expertise in the project set up program including the key elements and drivers that impact the billing process.
• Participating in the set up of new projects in accordance with project initiation forms received to enable the collection of time and expenses and eventual billing.
• Entering and reconciling expense transactions from corporate credit cards.
• Receiving and coding vendor invoices and obtaining processing approval.
• Running & distributing monthly past due statements and assisting with accounts receivable monitoring and support.
• Assisting with other accounting functions including reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, and generating reports.
• Maintaining key relationships with branch office administrators and project managers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have an accounting diploma or certificate with a minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, and possess the following skills: 

• Proven integrity, strong work ethic, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Efficient, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Effective in a team environment; takes full ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks yet keeps other members of the accounting team informed as needed and willing to assume additional duties as growth continues.
• Able to multitask and prioritize workload in an environment of conflicting demands.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheets and MS Office.
