Ravelin Properties Corp is a wholly owned subsidiary of Clarke Inc. and listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. We are excited to partner with Clarke Inc. and Ravelin Properties Corp (Ravelin) in the recruitment of a Senior Accountant to join the Ravelin team based in Halifax, NS. Reporting to the Manager of Property Accounting, the Senior Accountant will manage the financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of commercial properties, working closely with Property Management, Asset Management, Development, Finance, and Leasing teams to provide accurate financial information and insights that support business decisions.


This position is full-time in-office and is based out of the Bayers Lake office in Halifax, NS.



Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of commercial properties.
• Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and providing meaningful financial insights.
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, collaborating with Property Management, Asset Management, Development, Finance, and Leasing on revenue, operating expenses, and capital planning.
• Monitor cash flow for assigned properties to support operational and capital requirements.
• Perform lease analysis, including rent schedules, revenue recognition, and leasing cost tracking.
• Assist with external audits and ensure financial reporting aligns with applicable standards, company policies, and controls.
• Participate in special projects, financial modelling, and system enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the development and improvement of financial processes, controls, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• CPA or in CPA program. 
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in commercial property accounting is ideal.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with Yardi or another property management accounting system is an asset.
• Familiarity with CAM reconciliations and lease interpretation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
