Director of Facilities and Safety Leadership

Elevate the safety framework in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo as Director of Facilities and Safety. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with safety offices, academic units, and Plant Operations to ensure comprehensive safety and compliance across various facilities. Your responsibilities include leading safety programs, addressing operational issues, and guiding faculty and staff through safety regulations. This position requires extensive experience in both safety and infrastructure management. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise health, safety, and environmental matters • Champion safety training and compliance across facilities • Coordinate with stakeholders on capital projects • Manage day-to-day infrastructure operations and issues • Advise on infrastructure-related costs and trade-offs Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related discipline • 7+ years of relevant safety leadership experience • Knowledge of health and safety regulations • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders • Strong analytical and change management abilities Lead safety and operational initiatives as part of the University of Waterloo's Engineering Faculty. #J-18808-Ljbffr
