Learn more at The Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead is responsible for leading strategic continuous improvement initiatives and advancing the J&J Operating System (JJOS) culture across Canada. This role serves as the site champion for Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies, partnering with affiliate distribution centers, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Inventory Management, Transportation, and 3PL providers to enhance safety, service, quality, productivity, compliance, and cost performance. The position is also accountable for Performance Management and for developing and implementing analytics, digital solutions, operational strategies, and cost initiatives across Canadian Distribution operations supporting the MedTech, Innovative Medicine, and Surgical Vision segments. In addition, this role partners with and influences senior leaders across regions, the end-to-end supply chain, and Third-Party Logistics Providers. Given its broad scope and complexity, the position is a critical component of the Supply Chain Deliver succession planning pipeline for M1 and above.Key responsibilities
Partner end-to-end across Deliver, Commercial, Planning, 3PL, and Affiliate Distribution Center teams to drive operational performance, issue resolution, and supply chain optimization.Lead the site's continuous improvement strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.Drive Lean, JJOS, Gemba, and root-cause problem-solving initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, improve the customer experience, and maintain the highest quality standards.Provide data-driven insights to support IBP and S&OE, enabling optimized inventory planning, service performance, and business decision-making.Conduct benchmarking assessments and implement industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.Manage a portfolio of continuous improvement projects from ideation through implementation and sustainability.Support site initiatives involving automation, robotics, warehouse management systems, and digital transformation programs.Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, reporting tools, and analytics solutions to support Distribution operations.Perform data analysis to identify trends and opportunities related to service, cost, inventory, and operational performance.Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions, including data governance and L2 data initiatives.Define KPI baselines, targets, and data quality standards in partnership with business stakeholders.Deliver actionable insights and drive adoption of analytics capabilities across the organization.Promote a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and employee engagement.Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required.Bachelors in Engineering is preferred.MBA/advanced degree is preferred.A minimum of 4 years of related work experience is required.Experience in Supply Chain or Logistics is required.Experience with Operating System, Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.Lean certification is preferredExperience with various digital technologies (data visualization, data & analytics tools, Robotic Process Automation etc) is an assetCross sector / industry experiences an assetFPX/Project Management Certification is an assetAPICS CSCP certification is an assetRequired Skills: Preferred Skills: Action-Oriented, Agility Jumps, Business Behavior, Coaching, Communication, Information Technology Project Management, Problem Solving, Process Improvements, Project Management Methodology (PMM), Project Management Office (PMO), Project Management Tools, Project Support, Quality Control (QC), Scientific Evaluation, Stakeholder Engagement, Technologically SavvyThe anticipated base pay range for this position is : 74,000.00 - 133,000.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency
