Chief Engineer, Bridges and Infrastructure Management

Drive major infrastructure developments at CN as Chief Engineer, overseeing bridge and structure safety. This role blends technical expertise with leadership, focusing on risk management and project execution. You will be tasked with the holistic management of CN’s bridges and structures, guiding teams in design, maintenance, and safety improvement initiatives. Your contributions will include capital budgeting and compliance with industry standards for geotechnical engineering. Regular assessments and audits ensure operational safety and excellence throughout the network. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure design and rehabilitation align with safety standards
  • Manage the operational budget and strategic planning for infrastructure
  • Enforce bridge inspection and load capacity processes
  • Develop innovative solutions for geotechnical challenges
  • Mentor engineers and oversee team performance evaluations
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years in bridge and structural engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
  • Licensed Engineer (P. Eng. or P.E.)
  • Experience with safety management systems
  • Bilingual communication skills (English, French) beneficial
