The Role:

The Diamond Setter plays a pivotal role in bringing fine jewellery to life, expertly setting diamonds and gemstones into exquisite, on-site creations. This position oversees the flow of incoming pieces, strategically prioritizing work to ensure precision and timely completion. Collaborating closely with CAD Jewellery Designers and Goldsmiths, the Diamond Setter contributes to the seamless transformation of concept into craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Set diamonds or gemstones utilizing a variety of setting styles (ie. Micro pave setting, illusion setting, channel setting and bezel setting)
• Set diamonds and gemstones of various shapes and sizes in jewellery mountings, according to specifications
• Confirm secure placement of each stone and conduct visual inspections under magnification
• Collaborate with goldsmiths and designers to refine settings for optimal security and aesthetics
• Perform final quality control of completed work to confirm alignment, polish, and finish
• Document work performed, issues encountered, and completed timelines in workshop logs
• Follow brand specifications for tools, technical procedures, work assignments and standards of quality
• Ensure proper layout and accessibility of all tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working area
• Perform routine checks to ensure all tools meet required calibration and functionality standards
• Other duties as assigned

Must-Haves:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience completing micro pave settings.
• Experience in high-end or custom jewellery production environments.
• Familiarity with setting under a microscope and working with CAD-generated mountings.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.

Projected salary range: $85,000-$100,000
