Sophie’s Flats is a design and build company based in Ontario, Canada. We specialize in backyard homes known as ADUs — fully independent living spaces constructed on residential properties. We guide clients through every phase of their project, from design and permitting to construction. Behind every successful build is a well-organized team, and the project coordinator plays a central role in that success.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to help manage timelines, documentation, and communication across multiple residential projects. You will support the operations team by
- Organizing project schedules, tasks, and deliverables
- Tracking progress from design through construction
- Maintaining digital records, permits, and contracts
- Coordinating with designers, trades, consultants, and municipalities
- Following up on outstanding tasks and keeping teams accountable
- Preparing and sharing project updates with internal teams and clients
This is a key role for someone who enjoys structure, problem solving, and cross-functional teamwork.
Qualification
We are looking for candidates who
- Have experience in project coordination, construction admin, or operations
- Are highly organized and detail oriented
- Communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders
- Are confident using project tracking tools, spreadsheets, and shared files
- Understand construction timelines and residential permitting processes
- Are proactive and solution focused with a strong sense of ownership
Familiarity with ADUs or residential building is a strong asset but not required.
