Supervisory position responsible for planning, directing and executing daily field or shop activities. The Lead Hand assigns tasks, mentors apprentices, enforces safety and quality standards, coordinates materials and equipment, and reports progress to supervisors or superintendents. This role balances hands-on trade work with people management and requires strong technical knowledge of the trade, excellent communication, and a safety-first mindset.

Vision Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a skilled Welder / Millwright to join our team and help bring custom industrial and agricultural machinery projects to life.

We specialize in custom manufacturing, welding, and millwrighting for industrial and agricultural businesses throughout Ontario . From fabrication and welding to machinery installation, repairs, and modifications, our team takes our customers' needs and turns them into practical, working solutions.

What You'll Do

• Perform welding, fabrication, and metalworking on custom projects
• Assemble, install, align, maintain, and repair industrial and agricultural machinery
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and measurements
• Fabricate custom components and equipment to customer specifications
• Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues
• Perform millwright duties including machinery installation, alignment, maintenance, and repairs
• Use welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Work on a variety of unique custom manufacturing projects
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Work closely with the team to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

• Experience in welding, millwrighting, industrial maintenance, fabrication, or a related trade
• Strong mechanical and fabrication skills
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints
• Comfortable working with tools and industrial equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-minded
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
