Renovated and restored, La Cours des Palmiers is one of the most pleasant places in Montreal to enjoy tea or a light snack along with quality appetizers.

• Set up tables uniformly according to service standards.

• Set up service stations.

• Check refrigerators (cleanliness and stock) and inspect side stations (neatness and cleanliness).

• Polish cutlery and glassware.

• Take customer orders using suggestive selling techniques and departmental procedures.

• Serve drink orders to customers, using the techniques from the service manual.

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other hot beverages.

• Anticipate customer needs and respond promptly.

• Complete all closing reports as agreed and leave after notifying the supervisor.

• Provide quality service to our customers while adhering to the procedures and standards of La Cours des Palmiers and Forbes standards.

• Have a solid knowledge of wines and spirits, different allergens, and tea pairings.

• Process customer payments.

• Replace the Bartender as needed.

• Produce food requisitions following hotel procedures.

• Any other related tasks.

• Know the selection of liquors, beers, and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, the appropriate glassware, and garnishes.

• Know all menu items, their prices, taste standards, appearance, texture, garnishes, and presentation methods.

• Good knowledge of wine service and perfect mastery of signature cocktails.

• Know the laws and comply strictly with those that prohibit selling alcohol to minors, intoxicated individuals, and drinking and driving.

• Know and master maintenance and usage methods for equipment.

• Know Micros, manual systems, and payment systems.

• Have a high school diploma.

• Have 3 years of experience as a server in a restaurant or hotel.

• Master and have perfect knowledge of the hospitality and service standards of a 5-star hotel.

• Be able to communicate in French and English with customers, management, and coworkers.
