- Coordonner la prestation des services de soins de santé au sein du service
- Évaluer les opérations quotidiennes
- Planifier et assurer le contrôle financier du budget et des dépenses
- Planifier et organiser les opérations quotidiennes
- Établir et mettre en oeuvre des politiques et des procédures relatives à la prestation de soins de santé
- Embaucher, former, diriger et motiver le personnel
- Concevoir des systèmes d'évaluation afin de surveiller la qualité des soins de santé
- Surveiller l'analyse de données et de renseignements
- Surveiller la préparation de rapports
- Coordonner le travail des médecins, du personnel infirmier et de tout autre personnel
- Consulter les conseils d'administration, la haute direction et les représentants du gouvernement
- Attribuer, coordonner et réviser des projets et des programmes
- Planifier, organiser, diriger, contrôler et évaluer les opérations journalières
