Status: Full Time Permanent – 40.0 hours per week

Union: IBEW Local 1730

Hourly Wage: $34.44 per hour with benefits as per the current IBEW Collective Agreement

Job Summary :
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will operate construction, excavation, earthmoving and road clearing equipment rated at 80 H.P. and/or 6,900 kg or more in a safe and efficient manner.

Position Requirements :

• High school Diploma
• Demonstrated ability to operate departmental equipment including trucks, loader, grader, bulldozer, small backhoe, sidewalk machine, landfill compactor, etc as determined by the employer.
• Three (3) years previous work experience directly related to equipment operation and maintenance.

• Have a clean driver’s abstract - and must be able to produce such
• Have and maintain a valid Class "D" driver's licence with a "Z" endorsement for air brake vehicles.
• It is recognized that the business of the Employer is continuous and that Employees will cooperate when contacted to assist in maintaining service at all hours of the day and night
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain and submit a criminal record check, prior to start date.
