Human Resources Administrative Associate (Casual)

The West Vancouver Police Department is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Casual Human Resources Administrative Associate to provide administrative and technical support within our Human Resources team.

This role is well-suited to an individual who is highly tech-savvy, enjoys learning new software applications, and is comfortable navigating multiple databases, digital platforms, and Microsoft Office 365 programs. The successful candidate will leverage technology to maintain accurate records, support business processes, and ensure data integrity across HR systems. While situated within Human Resources, this position is primarily administrative and operational in nature, involving significant data entry, quality control, record maintenance, and document processing.

The successful candidate will be available to work in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

What You'll Do

• Enter, maintain, and audit employee and organizational data across multiple HR systems and databases.


• Perform data validation and quality control checks to ensure information is accurate, complete, and up to date.


• Process HR-related documentation, forms, and records.


• Support electronic file management and records administration.


• Assist with reporting, document preparation, and administrative projects.


• Monitor and maintain data integrity while identifying discrepancies and correcting errors.


• Provide administrative support for various HR initiatives and departmental activities.


• Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with department policies and privacy requirements.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including a polygraph examination.

Position Status : Exempt – Casual

Rate of Pay : $37.78/hour + 14% in lieu of benefits

Hours of Work : In Office, Monday to Wednesday – 22.5 hours per week
