As a Product Security Engineer, you will implement static application security testing (SAST) and improve software composition analysis (SCA) tools. This role is hands-on and requires collaboration with Security and Engineering teams to prioritize vulnerabilities without slowing down software delivery. You will face industry challenges such as AI coding tools and supply chain risks to safeguard applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement static application security testing using Semgrep
- Enhance software composition analysis tooling with Dependabot
- Manage secrets detection with Trufflehog and respond to findings
- Integrate security scanning into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Triage and prioritize vulnerability findings for remediation
- 2+ years in application security or DevSecOps
- Proficient with SAST, SCA, or secrets scanning tools
- Familiar with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
- Strong written communication skills for documentation
