Job Responsibility:
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of working experience as a Scala developer.
- Hands on development in Scala Spark and HDFS platform.
- Must have implemented project on Scala and Python platform.
- Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development BDD, Possess Big Data technology certification is preferred.
- Excellent analytical trouble shooting capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and effective collaboration abilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture and understand software requirements.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions using Scala.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Scala.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow developers.
- Optimize and refactor code to improve overall system performance.
- Stay up to date with industry standard methodologies and new technologies in Scala and other related technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Montréal, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Montréal, QC
