Job Responsibility:

Crane Helper

Springhill Lumber (Wholesale) Ltd. is looking for a Crane Helper. The candidate should be comfortable working at various heights. This position is full time from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.

The successful candidate will receive full company paid benefits after 90-days.

Rate of Pay : $18.00 to $20.25 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure orders are loaded, unloaded and accurately filled, counted and secured following all safe work requirements;
• Loading and unloading various building materials (roof top shingles, drywall, siding, and lumber, etc.);
• Ability to work comfortably at various heights following all safe work requirements;
• Be professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service;
• Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Class 5(F) driver's licence;
• Obtain and hold a Driver's Abstract (must be within 3 months);
• Fall Protection Certification desired, but will train the right candidate;
• Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis;
• Forklift Licence desired (but not required);
• Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
• Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
• Safety boots and safety equipment are required.
• Busy, high-volume environment.
