To help us continue to provide such great service, we are currently looking for a Parts Technician Apprentice to join our Parts Department.

Position Summary:

The Parts Technician Apprentice is critical to ensuring the timely and accurate ordering and processing of parts for our Service department and customers. Time is spent establishing a rapport with vendors and customers to help source the best solutions for their current need. The Parts Technician works closely with our field and shop Heavy Duty Mechanic Technicians to aid in the quick repair and maintenance of our customers equipment. In addition, they source and sell product directly to new and existing customers for their maintenance and repair requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process incoming parts requests and quotes in a timely manner based on priority
• Source best options for parts (price and availability) and place orders with Purchase Orders to vendors
• Create and file Pick Tickets and enter all part orders onto Repair Orders
• Follow up on status of all parts orders, ensuring they arrive as quoted
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks
• Process vendor invoices, and confirm parts are accurately posted to Repair Orders.
• Assist in replenishing inventories and shop supplies
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and warehouse
• Additional task related to the position from time to time

Qualifications:

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good math and computer skills
• Knowledge of heavy equipment or working in a parts department is an asset
• Formal training as a Parts Technician (or equivalent experience) is not required but considered an asset
• The ability to perform the physical requirements of lifting, moving, and carrying parts where appropriate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
