Pharmacy Assistant

Cencora

Pharmacy Assistant supporting specialty pharmacy operations at Cencora's Innomar Strategies division. Manages prescription intake, benefit verification, prior authorization coordination, and claims processing while maintaining compliance and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

Coordinate documentation and handoffs for prior authorization and clinical review requests
Review claims, orders, and shipment details to identify and resolve discrepancies
Track backorders, substitutions, and product availability to maintain pharmacy operations
Document workflow activity and issue resolution to ensure compliance and traceability
Communicate operational status and missing information to pharmacists, technicians, and payers

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
2+ years pharmacy support, healthcare operations, or claims processing experience
Pharmacy technician certification or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of prior authorization and claims workflows
Ability to track inventory, backorders, and product availability
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
