Not only is the department responsible for managing over 18,000 kilometers of provincial highways, it also manages the planning, design and construction of hospitals, schools and other government buildings.What you will doReporting to the Bridge Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: constructing and erecting scaffolding; hanging staging; casting concrete; painting; constructing special components for bridges; repairing damaged sections of wooden bridges; building falsework and temporary bridges Work environment Office location: Miramichi Work holidays, weekends, shift and/or variable hours. May work in adverse weather conditions and must be able to work at heights We promote a scent-reduced environment Who you areKey behavioural competencies Effective Interactive Communication Results Orientation Teamwork and Cooperation Essential Qualifications Completion of grade ten (10) Two (2) years related work experience Valid Class 5 driver’s license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.
