This Tack Welder General labour role is ideal for a professional who enjoys a construction environment and working with a great group of employees. The right person will recognize this role as a natural next step based on their current experience and career stage.
What you'll do
Create small, precise "tack" welds to join metal pieces.
Use clamps, squares, and measuring instruments (calipers, tape measures) to ensure proper alignment before securing.
Clean, grind, and smooth welded surfaces using power tools like grinders and sanders.
Adhere to strict safety guidelines, wear appropriate protective equipment, and maintain a clean workspace.
Cut rebar to be tack welded.
What You’ll Bring
Proficiency in welding techniques (predominantly MIG/GMAW) and experience working with various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless).
Strong precision for measurements and a high regard for quality control.
Environment
Work independently or with a partner.
Work under guidance of supervisor.
