defence technology organization in hiring an Intermediate Software Developer
/ Engineer <\/b> to join a mission -critical program supporting the Department
of National Defence (DND)<\/b> .
<\/p>

This role is ideal for Secret <\/b> cleared developers
in the Ottawa region <\/b> who are looking to apply their skills to operationally
relevant systems used by the Canadian Armed Forces, specifically LC4ISR <\/b> .
You’ll be contributing directly to tactical command -and -control capabilities in
a highly collaborative, Agile delivery environment.

  The Role <\/b>

  You will contribute to the design, development, and
  integration of tactical software applications <\/b> , ensuring they meet the
  performance, reliability, and security requirements expected in defence
  environments.
  <\/p>

  This is a hands -on development role with exposure to
  system -level thinking, integration challenges, and real -world deployment
  considerations.

  Key Responsibilities <\/b>
  <\/p>

  • Design,
    develop, and enhance software systems within an LC4ISR framework
    <\/li>
  • Support
    system integration, verification, and validation activities
    <\/li>
  • Analyze
    and resolve system -level issues, including performance and
    interoperability challenges
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate
    with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure system reliability
    and maintainability
    <\/li>
  • Conduct
    technical investigations into third -party software and integrations
    <\/li>
  • Review
    and contribute to technical documentation (interfaces, components,
    specifications)
    <\/li>
  • Support
    integration testing and evaluation activities in controlled environments
    <\/li>
  • Contribute
    within a SAFe Agile <\/b> delivery model

    Required Qualifications <\/b>
    <\/p>

    Must -Have <\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Active SECRET security clearance (mandatory – must be valid and transferable)<\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Minimum 5 years of software development experience <\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Strong
      proficiency in Java <\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Experience
      working in secure or regulated environments <\/b> (defence, public
      sector, or similar)
      <\/li>
    • Solid
      understanding of software architecture, integration, and debugging
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Assets <\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Experience
        with Kotlin and/or Android development <\/b>
        <\/li>
      • Working
        knowledge of C#<\/b>
        <\/li>
      • Familiarity
        with MVVM architecture <\/b>

      • Front -end
        experience with Vue.js <\/b> or similar frameworks
        <\/li>
      • Exposure
        to SQLite, Liquibase <\/b> , or similar data tools
        <\/li>
      • Exposure
        to NATO standards <\/b> or STANAG 4586<\/b>

      • Previous
        work on command -and -control (C2) systems <\/b> or defence -related
        platforms

        • Degree
          in Computer Science, Engineering, IT <\/b> , or related field

        • Equivalent
          hands -on experience in defence or secure environments will be considered
