Company Description :Discover Canada Tours & West Trek Tours are divisions of UNIGLOBE Specialty Travel Ltd. Our primary objective is to provide affordable travel programs that will enable ESL and international students as well as visitors to Vancouver and the lower mainland to learn more about Canada practice their English meet new people; and most importantly have fun! While under continuous development our travel program primarily comprises tours to the Rocky Mountains Tofino Victoria Whistler and many other exciting destinations in Western Canada.
Overview :
This position is only available for students who are looking to do a practicum to complete their educational program requirements. If you decide to apply please specify your practicum requirements (e.g number of hours you must work to complete the practicum period of time you are allowed to complete your practicum etc.)
Both domestic and international students are welcome to apply for these practicum placements.
We are looking for practicum students with a great personality a passion for travel and a commitment to excellence to join our team. Our objective is to provide a great work environment one that fosters professional and personal development. At Discover Canada Tours we offer practicum students the opportunity to work in the fun and exciting industry of tourism where they can meet and travel with people from all over the world! Depending on the department in which your placement is you will gain experience within the areas of Tour Sales & Promotions Tour Operations Marketing Accounting and People & Culture.

In order to become a practicum at Discover Canada Tours/West Trek you should meet the following minimum skills & requirements:
- Work eligibility: Valid work permit (i.e. co-op visa working holiday visa etc.)
- Language ability: good English language skills (oral & written)
- Personal attributes: friendly very outgoing communicative approachable responsive organized hard-working and highly motivated
- Skills: strong people skills ability to work in a fast-paced environment adaptability active listening relationship management time management team work
